Sketch A Day!

So, my life has changed quite a bit since my last post! There was the continuing pandemic, I completed my Masters, I met my partner, I graduated, I had a son, I got engaged…

It has been a busy few years, which meant that I haven’t had a lot of time for illustration beyond what I’ve been doing for my day job (Which, admittedly, has involved a lot more illustration since January. Yay!). But that has changed in recent months.

I downloaded the Sketch A Day app, which gives a one word prompt and has an amazing community of artists commenting, contributing, and liking. It’s kind of like an ongoing Inktober. So far I’ve completed a 48 day streak and completed 50 sketches in that time!

It’s been so good to get back to drawing for fun and I’m hoping to keep it running as long as I can.

MA Illustration Update: I think I'm done...?

So, after two years and a surprise pandemic, I think I’ve actually come to the end of my MA in Illustration at the University of Portsmouth.

Mashu Update

So I've decided to name these guys Mashu, after how my niece used to pronounce "Matthew" when she was little, and I've introduced a shorter, armless variation as well.
