Tove Jansson and her work was a big influence on me growing up, and I still love and read the Moomin books.
Over the Easter weekend I watched a few episodes of the new Moominvalley TV series, and I really liked what I saw. Nothing beats Tove’s original artwork, but they’ve still managed to capture the feel of the worlds and the characters.
Inspired by this, and life in general making leaving everything behind and going off to live in a forest sound like quite a tempting idea, I decided to introduce Snufkin to Hilsea Lines. It may not be quite as majestic as Finland, but I’m sure he’d enjoy it nonetheless.
I think I may have to do Snufkin for next year’s cosplay….
